Day 26 - Ezekiel - (Israel’s Restoration)
For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:24-26)
Around 565 years before Christ while being a captive in Babylon, Ezekiel prophesied about the return of the scattered Jews from around the world and the restoration of Israel as a nation. Two and a half milleniums later on May 14, 1948, Ezekiel’s prophecy, and Isaiah’s prophecy of the nation Israel being re-born in one day, was fulfilled. One day, the other part of Ezekiel’s prophecy about Israel being cleansed and receiving a new heart and a new spirit and her heart of stone being replaced with a heart of flesh will also be fulfilled when as a nation she acknowledges Jesus as her Messiah.
Just as God will save Israel when she believes in Christ, God will also save the person who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ as Messiah.
