Day 8 - RUTH
“wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.” (Ruth 1:16b)
The story of Ruth is one of the greatest if not the greatest story of love and loyalty of one person to another. After her husband dies, Ruth, who is not even a Jew, decides that she will never leave her mother-in-law Naomi even when Naomi returns to Israel. As a result of her devotion to Naomi and to God, God honors Ruth by making her the wife of Boaz who became the grandfather of King David from whose lineage, Jesus the Messiah was born.
