Day 32- Micah

Day 32 - Micah
(to check out past posts, click: tonyvicreyes.blogspot.com )

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting."  (Micah 5:2)

This single verse in the old testament tremendous significance for mankind.  For one, it foretold the exact location where the Christ was to be born.  When King Herod inquired from the chief priests and scribes in Jerusalem where the Christ was to be born in order to kill him, they referred to this Scripture prophecy and told Herod that the Christ was to be born in Bethlehem.

More significant in my opinion is the fact that the Christ is described by Micah as everlasting which characteristic can only be atttributed to God who alone in eternal: “Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”  (Psalm 90:2)

This coming Christmas, I hope and pray that you and I will give Jesus Christ the honor and worship due Him as the eternal God.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  (Romans 12:1-2)
